An overview of key concepts and terminology associated with SOA, service-oriented computing and service-orientation, including a study of strategic benefits and impacts and an overview of modern SOA technologies and innovations.

SOA Technology Concepts
A study of the primary technologies used to build service-oriented solutions, with an emphasis on XML and modern Web-based services technologies.

SOA Design & Architecture
An exploration of the service-oriented architectural model and the service-orientation design paradigm, including in-depth coverage of service compositions and runtime service roles.

Advanced SOA Design & Architecture
A comprehensive study of SOA in practice focused on advanced topics associated with the application of SOA design patterns, practices, techniques and service-orientation design principles, plus an exploration of SOA types.

SOA Design & Architecture Lab
A hands-on lab during which participants apply the patterns, models, concepts, techniques, and principles covered in previous courses in order to complete a series of architectural and service design exercises.

Discounted Price on Prometric Exam Vouchers
The standard cost for Prometric exams is $150-$175. By registering for workshop courses, you will be eligible to purchase vouchers for these exams at a significant discount. The prices will be displayed on the Workshop Registration page. Note that if you are purchasing any self-study kits when registering, you will automatically receive the required exam vouchers, as explained below.

Discounted Price on Self-Study Kits
Self-Study Kits are intended for self-paced study and exam preparation. Each kit contains a Prometric exam voucher, a supplementary self-study guide, audio tutor CDs, flash cards, and additional study aids. There is one self-study kit for each course module.
The standard cost of a Self-Study Kit for one course module is $399. The cost of a Self-Study Kit Certification Bundle (which includes 5 kits) is $1,596. For any courses that you register for as part of this workshop, you are entitled to a 50% discount on the corresponding Self-Study Kits.
For example, if you register for Day 1: Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing, you can purchase the Self-Study Kit for Exam S90.01: Fundamental SOA & Service-Oriented Computing for $199. If you register for all five days you can purchase a Self-Study Kit Certification Bundle for $796.
Note again that self-study kits include Prometric exam vouchers, which means that you are not required to purchase the exam vouchers separately.
